What do basic men's gloves look like?
Within the variety of the men's glovesIn this section you will find many models that we call 'basic'. They are the simplest and also the cheapest, but they offer other advantages beyond price. They are usually made of acrylic fabric, with a small proportion of elastane. This makes them particularly flexible and they adapt very well to the user's hands.
This flexibility, combined with the fact that they are thinner than other pairs of gloves, makes them the best choice for those who do not want to lose precision in their fingers. They make it easy to handle keys, a cell phone (if the ends are touchscreen compatible) and many other everyday objects.
In terms of design, basic men's gloves also live up to their name: they are usually single-colored, often in neutral colors or black. Some, on the other hand, opt for a richer color combination, with contrasts between the palm and the back of the hand, or between the palm and the back of the wrist.
Variants for increased protection
If you are looking for men's gloves that offer extra protection, you can opt for a very interesting variant: the fleece models. This fabric is much warmer and more waterproof than acrylic, although it also has the disadvantage of being less flexible. Therefore, you gain warmth but lose handling capacity, although in a snowy environment this is usually less important.
Many models incorporate a discreet elastic at the wrist for a better fit. Others, on the other hand, are presented as a middle ground between basic and fleece models, since their exterior is made of acrylic but their interior is made of fleece.
And if you really want extra warm gloves, you can opt for padded models: these are gloves with padding, often in polyester, with an outer shell also in polyester or even polyurethane fabric. Their high protection capacity makes them suitable for motorcycle riding or skiing, especially if they have a mitten design. They usually include a fastening system to prevent them from falling, which can be done by means of a buckle or pin, among other options.
Technical gloves, also in Decimas
The Men's Gloves section of Decimas also includes other models that we can call 'technical': they are those that are not intended for use on the street, but are intended for the practice of a particular sport. This is the case of cycling gloves, which have the particularity of having a reinforced palm to cushion the continuous pressure exerted on this part of the hand when gripping the handlebars. Usually, the part destined for the fingers is open, as its purpose is not to protect the hand against the cold. This prevents loss of precision when handling the bicycle or other items of equipment. However, there are also closed models, designed for cold days.
Another sport in which men's gloves are common is soccer. And more specifically, in the goalkeeper demarcation. This is a special garment, with foam reinforcement on the hands to cushion the impact produced by the ball. Like many of the ski models, they incorporate a fastening system on the wrist, in this case Velcro. You can find more models of this type of accessory in the section dedicated to soccer accessories.
Fitness gloves are also becoming more and more common. Designed for use indoors, where temperatures are not cold, they are very light and do not provide warmth. On the other hand, they are a great help for certain exercises: these men's gloves protect the palms of the hands when using certain equipment and prevent the classic slipping caused by sweaty palms.
As for brands, the main protagonist of this section is Tenth, the sports brand of Decimas, although we can also give entry to other prestigious brands such as Nike or Adidas.
